Bump Chair Shop – A Constant in a Changing World

In a world that seems chaotic and ever-changing, it is sometimes refreshing to see things that are constant. I had the joy of shooting an old chair shop recently. Little did I know that Mr. Bump was a local legend! This shop, as you can see in the photo above, has been around since 1870; and it looks like things haven't changed too much over the years.

Today I visited the Old Mill in North Little Rock for the first time.  What a cool place!  Unfortunately I was shooting in broad daylight, Still though, it was beautiful as the dogwoods and azaleas were at peak bloom!

Historic Downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas

I decided to dabble in mostly architectural photography today.  I've learned there are certainly some unique challenges to architecture photography.  You end up with some very defined lines and if you aren't perfectly straight on or if you're using a wide angled lens (I was), you get some bending and skewing.  I tried my best to correct this in Lightroom and Photoshop.  Hot Springs has some very cool, old buildings.  During this trip, I only used my 16-35 mm lens for wide shots.  I hope to go back soon with my 70-200 mm for some detail shots as there are some incredibly ornate areas along...
